Phase One hat heute mit Capture One Pro 8 die neueste Version seiner Raw-Konvertierungs- und Bearbeitungssoftware veröffentlicht. Die Highlights der Version 8 sind unter anderem neue Werkzeuge zum Einstellen, wie z. b. Lokaler Weißabgleich, Clone- und Reparaturebenen oder ein Werkzeug, um realistisches Filmkorn zu erzeugen.
Eine weitere wichtige Neuerung ist die Möglichkeit, die Software zu abonnieren. Im Gegensatz zu den Produkten von Adobe wird hier jedoch weiterhin eine Kaufversion verfügbar sein. Momentan wird ein Abo zu Sonderkonditionen ab 8 €/Monat angeboten (Später 10€). Die Kaufversion kostet 229€, das Upgrade von einer vorherigen Version gibt’s ab 69 Euro. Wer die Vorgängerversion nach dem 15. August 2014 gekauft hat, bekommt ein kostenloses Upgrate.
